An absolutely fantastic weekend...

Just had an absolutely fantastic weekend stay in Bonnes Saisons. Hosts Tony and Sue were very friendly and attentive providing us with a scrumptious, fresh breakfast in the beautiful dining room and one evening the table d’hôte which was delicious. The clean and brightly decorated room with an exceptionally comfortable bed was a delight to stay in.  Tony and Sue have thought of everything here. Loved being able to make a cup of tea whenever we wished and have the use of the comfortable lounge area with the use of a huge choice of board games and cards.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area from castles to lakes, hikes, cycling and beer to sample in the local Brewery. We visited Ax-Les-Thermes to relax in the thermal baths after a hike in the hills beforehand. Mirepoix is a beautiful medieval town which we thoroughly enjoyed visiting on market day.  We hope to visit again next year.

Bonnes Saisons Weekend

We had the real pleasure of a long weekend break in Puivert in late September. Sue and Tony have set up Bonnes Saisons with great attention to detail – creating beautifully appointed and comfortable rooms.

Our hosts were really helpful both at the accommodation and with advice on places to visit. We also went for the table d’hôte meal option one evening which was a lovely meal with some produce from the garden.

We had not been to this area of France before, so we had plenty of places to discover. The Aude Region and the Pyrenees in early autumn proved to be a truly wonderful place to visit with panoramic walks, beautiful towns and even a castle within walking distance of the house. Bonnes Saisons proved to be ideally placed as a central base for days out.

Good luck Sue and Tony and we hope many others get to experience your great hospitality and the joys of the Region.

Bonne continuation

Like a needle in a haystack

Dear Sue and Tony, being back to everyday life again, we often remember our beautiful holiday with you in Puivert and ‘le pays cathare’. We were really lucky to find your house – like a needle in a haystack. We enjoyed our stay with you so much, you two were such kind hosts and we really felt absolutely comfortable. The room, your beautiful garden – and the delicious breakfast – everything was very much to our liking. We would like to say thank you again.

Words cannot express how beautiful this place is

My husband and I stayed at Bonnes Saisons for 5 nights and words cannot express how beautiful this place is. From the moment we arrived, Sue and Tony the owners made us feel very welcome and showed us to our room which was absolutely spotless, surprisingly spacious and very comfortable. We had access to tea and coffee making facilities and could help ourselves whenever we wished. Each morning we had breakfast on the balcony where we were served a very substantial and rather scrummy breakfast whilst enjoying the spectacular surrounding views. Sue and Tony were always happy to offer us a guide to the local amenities and advised on the best places to visit to maximise our stay. This really is a gem of a find and we cannot express what a lovely break we had – if we could rate it higher we would. It is so clear that Sue and Tony aim to provide a perfect place for their guests and they achieved this in our case without a doubt. We certainly will be returning.

It truly is 5* in every way.

Just returned from a five night stay at this wonderful property. It truly is 5* in every way. The light and airy rooms were very spacious and provided us with everything we needed. The shower was incredible, best ever! Breakfast on the balcony was superb and the views were stunning. The location is perfect being only a few steps from the lake and only a short drive to the spectacular mountain walks. Our hosts Sue and Tony were very attentive and very helpful with an abundance of local knowledge and recommendations of places to visit and things to do. Can’t recommend this place highly enough and we will be returning very soon!

Many thanks

Dear Tony and Susan,
My wife and I are very grateful for your hospitality and we enjoyed staying at your wonderful hotel very much indeed.
I have already written a highly positive review on Booking.com, but would like to thank you personally as well.
The place and the nature that surrounds «Bonne Saisons» is beautiful, very quite and peaceful.
The hotel is very cosy, very comfortable, everything is new and very clean.
Great breakfasts and sincere welcomes made us feel really great and we were having a very lovely time.

We loved coming back...

We loved coming back to this B&B for a second time; the countryside is so full of beautiful flora and the weather was perfect at this time of year. So much going on in the area too – live music at the brewery, a disco by the lac, a classic car show in Mirepoix and the fetes de roses in Camon – couldn’t ask for more!

Our stay at the b&b was fantastic. Lovely rooms and Sue & Tony are great hosts with a lot of local knowledge they are happy to share. Breakfast is fresh and although it wasn’t warm enough in the mornings to have on the patio I imagine it is now – the views are beautiful.

Thanks for looking after us and we’ll be back!

One of the nicest places in the world...

One of the nicest, cleanest, friendly places we have stayed anywhere in the world. Beds were fantastic, breakfast was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the peace and quiet was wonderful. Thank you Sue & Tony for a wonderful stay.

Lovely stay, so much to do!

Had a lovely 7 night stay here last week and would definitely come back again. The accommodation is modern and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and a lovely private outdoor patio. The room was a good size but we could also access the kitchen and lounge area whenever we wanted to relax and make tea.

We had a couple of sunny mornings and breakfasted up on the balcony which had amazing views over the lake, Puivert Chateau and surrounding countryside. The hosts put on a lovely continental breakfast and were always very helpful, making recommendations and knowledgable of the area.

In terms of the location we were able to do so much within an hours drive- highlights included skiing and the thermal baths in Ax les Thermes as well as plenty of mountainous walks on the way. We loved walking around Lac du Montbel and eating mussels in Carcassonne. Although it was further we would recommend visiting Collioure for the beautiful seaside. Puivert itself also has some lovely hilly walks, a great pizzeria and brewery. Have never visited a location with so many different things to do and will definitely be back!

Fantastic day in the Pyrenees Snow shoeing

Have spent an amazing couple of days at this well located, newly opened Gite/ Chambre d’hotes. Hosts were really welcoming and informative about the local area. The Gite is situated alongside a lac, where you can swim in the summer, and you can cycle and walk on organised routes throughout the area. Great for those who love an active holiday and with an award-winning brewery in the village too!

We spent a fantastic day in the Pyrenees Snow shoeing at Col de Chioula, a new activity for us all. Scenery was out of this world and the cost for the day was under €20 per person. Visited Limoux (home of Blanquette a beautiful fizzy wine) and our host recommended an excellent restaurant with a good value three course meal. Bonnes Saisons is the perfect place to return to at the end of a busy day, with the most amazing views. In the warmer weather breakfast will be served on the outside balcony and views across the lake to the Chateaux and mountains.

There is much on offer in the area we have only touched the surface; we are already looking forward to a return trip.  Good luck to Sue & Tony in their new venture.

Stunning views in a tranquil setting

The accommodation is of high specification but retains the local rustic charm. Extremely comfortable and clean bedrooms and the Hosts made us very welcome. Will definitely be visiting again.

Stunning views

Lovely property close to the lake in Puivert, with its own outside space and some stunning views. The bedroom and ensuite shower room were beautifully finished and contained everything we needed. The room was very well insulated and therefore very quiet, giving a sense of complete privacy. The communal area again was beautifully done with everything you could need and Sue and Tony were excellent hosts – a 5-star experience for us.

A gem of a find in SW France!

Thought and care has gone into the design and furnishing of this brand new accommodation. Larger than expected well equipped bedroom: very comfortable king size bed; lovely pillows and linen; impressive en-suite with walk-in shower. Well equipped communal kitchen and day room. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy views of the garden and surrounding area. The hosts, Sue and Tony, have provided home from home comforts for their guests. Can’t wait to return!
